Confronting 21st century challenges requires resilience, creativity, critical insight and accountability. Studying psychology helps students learn why humans think, feel and behave the way they do, while building the critical skills needed to thrive in a changing world.

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at AUS was launched in Fall 2019. Employing an American Psychological Association (APA)-inspired undergraduate curriculum, the program focuses on preparing students for graduate school or diverse work experiences. Alongside innovative coursework that emphasizes research, analysis and ethics, students complete an internship and are encouraged to get involved with extracurricular activities including working with faculty on research projects or applying for undergraduate research grants, becoming teaching fellows in the Psychology Learning Center, serving as peer advisors, or taking on leadership roles in student organizations including the Psychology Club and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. |-BREAK-|

A strong foundation in psychological sciences prepares students for careers in social and human services, management, teaching, research, health and medical services, and other emerging careers that will help transform society, improving the lives of individuals and populations.
