Advisory Board

The AUS Civil Engineering Industry Advisory Board (CVE-IAB) supports and promotes the civil engineering programs at American University of Sharjah’s College of Engineering. CVE-IAB members serve as ambassadors on behalf of the department, advocating the following objectives:

  • advance and support the highest quality faculty, educational facilities, and undergraduate and graduate programs for the students enrolled in AUS civil engineering programs
  • serve as a liaison between the department and industry (engineering and construction), government and the community at large, impacting the curriculum and research directions
  • develop and implement innovative programs that will benefit the department and the industry
  • offer advice, counsel, and financial support and sponsorships to the department and its activities
