The Funny Girls go PINK! (October 2015)
Mina Liccione and the HER-storical Funny Girls are back to perform a special stand-up comedy show in support of Breast Care Awareness month!
The acts include Rachel Hamilton (author of The Case of the Exploding Loo,) Shaima Sayed (Kit Kat's Comedy Break Show judge, Abu Dhabi Comedy Festival), Farah Naswari (Dubomedy's Mix Tape,) Jill Saydam (Dubomedy's Mix Tape), Liz Zamorski (Dubomedy's It's a Funny Story,) Sophie Samuelian (UAE Rotana Comedy Tour) and special guest Preba Moddley (International Comedy Magician.)
Hosting the night is Mina Liccione. She was coined the "UAE's Queen of Comedy" and has a long list of credits including the lead comedic role in STOMP, MTV, Cirque, MBC, BBC, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and more. She's performed alongside stand-up greats including Gabriel Iglesias "The Fluffy Guy," Tommy Davidson and a five-show run in New York with Judah Friedlander of the TV series 30 Rock. She was included in Rolling Stone's "This year's funniest people" Issue, was nominated for an Emirates Woman of the year Award and Ahlan's "Best female personality." She is extremely passionate about giving back and using comedy for a cause. She founded the Clowns Who Care Project, which organizes shows and creative workshops for children with special needs, orphans and those residing in refugee camps.
