Open Access Week: Author Talk with Dr. Jeff Baker (October 2024)
Join the library as we celebrate Open Access Week (October 21-24, 2024).
Special guest Dr. Jeff Baker, Professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the School of Business Administration, will present his co-authored article, "Authenticity in Objects and Activities: Determinants of Satisfaction with Virtual Reality Experiences of Heritage and Non-Heritage Tourism Sites."
Abstract:
What are the different types of virtual reality (VR)? What makes a VR experience sufficiently “authentic” for viewers? And when authentic VR experiences are created, how can they be used to promote tourism sites and attractions?
Join Professor Jeff Baker as he presents his collaborative research with Professor Kichan Nam on these topics – and on how they made their locally-focused and internationally-relevant open access to maximize its impact.
This presentation is part of the AUS Library’s Open Access Week series.
