Open Mic Night (April 2024)
All students are cordially invited to this year’s awaited Open Mic Night.
Sponsored by the AUS English Fellows (Department of English) and the Creative Writing Club, Open Mic Night is a great opportunity to hang out with other students and faculty and appreciate the arts.
This year, our theme is "Literature in Times of Crisis." However, performances are not limited to this. You can read your own original work (poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction), recite a literary piece that resonates with you (in English or in any other language), or play any instrument and sing!
If you would like to perform in a 5 or 10-minute time slot, please email [email protected]. Or, you can sign up at the event itself. Note: Those who sign up pre-event are given the priority to perform. We will adhere to the schedule.
All students, faculty and staff at AUS are welcome to attend and enjoy the performances and mingle with the English department over refreshments.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you there!
