The role and responsibilities of The Said T. Khoury Chair of Leadership Studies are effectively captured in its logo, which artfully blends the key values that are actively promoted by the donor and the way the Chair envisions the importance of leadership in today’s constantly evolving corporate world. The goal was to create a logo that would capture these values in a meaningful way to convey one of the most critical outcomes of leadership—mainly, its IMPACT on others.
The six human figures of different shapes, forms, colors and sizes in the logo symbolize the diversity of people in terms of gender, age, culture and ethnicity, and educational background, who put their hands together to contribute to a common cause or purpose. The eye in the middle represents the vision that aims to translate into the successful achievement of a desired outcome. Each human figure from the logo stands for a letter from the word IMPACT, which in turn represents a collection of both major leadership characteristics and activities that the Chair aims to pursue over the next few years.
