Details about Fall 2024 Commencement can be found below.
The event will take place at 10:00 a.m. on December 21, 2024 at University City Hall, Sharjah.
Graduating students will need to arrive at University City Hall one hour prior to the scheduled start of the ceremony. PhD and master’s students should proceed to the ground floor, while all undergraduate students should proceed to the mezzanine floor to collect name cards and wait there to be ushered into the hall.
AUS is seeking an undergraduate senior student graduating this semester to speak at the commencement ceremony on December 21, 2024. The university strongly encourages you to participate in this memorable event. If you would like to speak at this event, please submit your speech to Dr. Nawar Golley (LAN 232) or by email to [email protected] by October 14, 2024. Anyone who submits a speech is free to consult with Dr. Golley and rewrite the speech. The speech should last no longer than 5 to 7 minutes (about 1,000 words). If you have submitted your commencement speech and you do not received notification that you are among the finalists, you can assume that your speech was not selected. There can be many reasons for a speech not being selected, such as a lack of a clear, unifying theme; language errors; or simply an overabundance of excellent speeches.
