Formal admission to the program follows AUS undergraduate admission requirements. Students transferring into the program must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and permission of the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics or the college Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs.

To qualify for graduation with a BSDSC degree, students must successfully complete a minimum of 122 credit hours, including a minimum of 48 credit hours in courses at the 300 level or above, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 as follows:

AUS undergraduate students pursuing a BSDSC degree can enroll in the Accelerated Master's Program (AMP), allowing them to take up to six credit hours of graduate-level courses that count towards major and/or free electives, giving them a head start on their graduate studies while completing their undergraduate degree.
