The Department of Mechanical Engineering- College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to fill the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant. The successful candidate needs to have obtained a Phd. in Mechanical Engineering or any closely related field. The candidate is expected to conduct research in the following areas:
- Advanced material processing
- Mechanical testing and material characterization
- Sustainable manufacturing
- Material modeling.
Responsibilities and Duties Required
- Conduct literature review.
- Run experiments.
- Data management.
- Analyze results.
- Prepare progress reports on regular basis.
- Help in mentoring graduate students.
- Assist in preparing journal and conference articles.
- Other duties may be assigned according to the progress of research.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
- A strong foundation in conducting research related to these fields is essential.
