NAB 009, New Academic Building
November 22, 2012
15:00 - 16:00

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Arts and Sciences, is hosting a seminar to be conducted by Victor Bovdi, Institute of Mathematics, University of Debrecen, Hungary.
The following question will be posed:
- When is the group of units U(KG) of the group ring KG of a group G over the commutative ring K with unity a hyperbolic?
This problem was considered by several authors. The talk will include a complete solution in the case when the torsion part t(G) of the group G is not trivial.
