C109, Chemistry Building

On behalf of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, under the College of Arts and Sciences, you are cordially invited to a seminar to be conducted by Dr. Cristian Enache.
Abstract:
In this talk, we will discuss some new maximum principles for P-functions and their applications to the study of partial differential equations. More precisely, we will show how one may employ such maximum principles in problems of physical or geometrical interest, in order to get prior estimates, isoperimetric inequalities, symmetry results, convexity results, the shape of some free boundaries and Liouville type results.
