Family Business in the Arab World (FBAW) Conference 2020 - Academic Day (November 2020)
The Family Business in the Arab World (FBAW) Conference was founded by the Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid bin Khalid Al-Qassimi Chair in Family Business at American University of Sharjah and the Tharawat Family Business Forum.
FBAW is the first platform of its kind in the region, with the main aim to discuss the state of family businesses in MENA, enhance regional research efforts and develop best practice.
The first day of the conference is Academic Day, with the aim to advance the extant knowledge about the relationship between family business and the context in emerging, developing and transitional economies. With an impressive agenda of scholars from around the world, the conference provides a multidisciplinary approach to incorporate the historical, institutional, spatial and social contexts in which family firms exist and operate into family business research.
