Webinar: How to Manage IP for Content Creators (September 2024)
This webinar is organized for anyone who creates his or her own content (audio/video) and is keen to understand the intellectual property (IP) rights associated with the content. We will discuss copyright and how to protect your content when uploading it online or licensing it to media companies. This is one of the first webinars organized for content creators at AUS.
About the speaker
Persis Hodiwalla has been a part of the entertainment and media industry (films and web-series) for almost 15 years and has experience in drafting and executing agreements prevailing in the media and entertainment industry. She is the managing partner at JP Legal Corp. She has mastered the art of structuring deals ensuring that IP is 100 percent owned by the content creator, with a clear chain of title for exploitation in universal perpetuity. She has also been involved in the content creation journey from inception to release. Her legal and commercial understanding of the business allows her to take the ideas, story or script from the literary form to the final screen in the audio-visual content form that can be viewed either in theatres, over-the-top (OTT) platforms, TV or other platforms.
