Eugenia Choi (Violin) and Henry Wong Doe (Piano) (March 2015)
The Cultural Events Committee presents an evening of classical music by Eugenia Choi (violin) and Henry Wong Doe (piano)
A native of New Zealand, Henry Wong Doe received his doctoral degree in piano from Juilliard in New York, as well as a master's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Prior to his studies in the United States, Henry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Auckland, as well as a performer's licentiate from the Trinity College of London. Henry has performed on some of the best stages in the world among them Carnegie Hall- New York, Heinz Hall-Pittsburgh and the Sydney Opera House-Australia.
Eugenia Choi is Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of British Columbia. A Canadian of Korean heritage, Choi has in recent seasons performed as concerto soloist with orchestras in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and has been broadcast globally on the TV networks BBC, CBC and National Geographic. On stage, she gives an expression of a soulful artiste who loves to entertain with the rhythm of strings.
