AUS holds Corporate and Alumni Sports Tournament
American University of Sharjah (AUS) held the AUS Ramadan Corporate and Alumni Sports Tournament at the university campus from May 12–16, to promote health and fitness and provide an opportunity for different members of the AUS community to interact with one another in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
The tournament had six alumni teams and 18 teams representing 12 companies and was organized by the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs (OAAA).
Charles A. Diab, Executive Director of the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, said:
“The sports tournament was held to promote friendship, cultivate healthy lifestyle habits, and enhance wellness among the university's corporate partners and alumni, and to bring them closer to one another and to university, as they constitute an integral part of AUS's wider community."
This unique event, which has witnessed great success in previous editions, brought together around 300 people during the exciting five-day games. Fifteen teams took part in a soccer tournament, 11 teams competed in cricket and six teams competed in the basketball tournament.

The AUS Ramadan Corporate and Alumni Sports Tournament institutional advancement sponsors included Crescent Petroleum, Emirates Global Aluminum, and Petrofac.
