AUS professor awarded Sheikh Rashid Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement
American University of Sharjah professor Dr. Fadi Ahmed Aloul received the Sheikh Rashid Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement, on Sunday, November 2, 2014. This is the first time a faculty member from AUS has received this award, which recognizes scientific and academic excellence in UAE.
Dr. Aloul, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, was one of six professors from the UAE to receive the award, the other five being from UAE University. The awards were presented by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and the Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated.
Dr. Aloul's past awards include the Khalifa Award for Education in 2009, the AUS Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011 and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Young Arab Researchers in 2013.
