AUS Student Council organizes trip to Sharjah Planetarium
The Student Council at American University of Sharjah (AUS) organized a visit to Sharjah Planetarium on October 24, 2015. The students viewed exhibitions that presented information about astronomy and space sciences in the Arab world in particular. Students also learned more about the solar system through interactive exhibits and enjoyed the black hole show though a simulated experience of travelling through the galaxies in a spaceship.
"We thank His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan for providing us students with state-of-the-art learning facilities and experiences that aid our knowledge and education," said Fatima Bin Ashour, a junior industrial engineering student and a board member of the Student Council.
"We encourage our students to explore the many learning facilities in Sharjah. Sharjah Planetarium will satisfy one's curiosity and expand their understanding about what lies beyond the earth that we live in," said Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students.
