Sharjah Ruler chairs AUS Board of Trustees meeting

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad AlQasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of American University of Sharjah (AUS), chaired the AUS Board of Trustees meeting held on January 29, 2023 on the university’s campus.

During the meeting, His Highness welcomed Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the university's new president, and wished her every success in completing the university's distinguished vision of being ranked as one of the top universities worldwide.

His Highness praised AUS’ management and Board of Trustees efforts in the development of the university’s academic reputation and the various scientific, research and administrative fields, which was made possible through their hard work and dedication.

The Board discussed progress on the university's academic performance, as reflected in many indicators and reports prepared by the committees.

His Highness was briefed on areas relating to finance, audit and compliance, student affairs, academic and scientific research, technology and innovation, as well as resources and development.

In addition, His Highness unveiled the Recognition Wall, which honors affiliated institutions and donors that support the university’s educational journey and reinforce the community's role in supporting education and research.
