Taha Ameen ur Rahman | President's Cup Recipient

Dual degree graduate Taha Ameen ur Rahman has been awarded with the President's Cup for achieving a GPA of 4.0 in his studies in electrical engineering and mathematics.

"I am grateful for the many opportunities I received at AUS, which provided a platform to shape my professional life. The strong academic preparation that I received from the courses in both my majors (electrical engineering and mathematics) set a strong foundation for me, and inspired me to pursue research as a career. These research opportunities were instrumental in my admission to the graduate program at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where I am currently pursuing my PhD in electrical engineering.

Aside from coursework, AUS provided me with a rich student-life experience: I am grateful to have served as president of the IEEE Student Chapter at AUS, as well as a peer advisor at the Academic Support Center. The experiences I had in these positions greatly influenced me - from instilling leadership qualities to being of service to the community.
