The Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems and Mechatronics Engineering (BSIME) is a multidisciplinary program that merges the expertise and resources of electrical and mechanical engineering. This program is accredited by the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Affairs Division in the United Arab Emirates.
The program equips students with the knowledge and skills required to design, implement, control, and operate intelligent and mechatronics systems. Graduates of the program will leave with an innovative interdisciplinary education that enables them to join the fourth industrial revolution workforce in rapidly emerging fields such as autonomous unmanned vehicles/drones, robotics, automation and additive manufacturing, internet-of-things, human computer systems, smart grid and intelligent mechatronics systems in general.
Through a cutting-edge combination of technology-based engineering tools and digital skills in the field of intelligent systems and mechatronics engineering, this degree program offers an entirely new and practical approach. Its curriculum encompasses the principles of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science with the added component of automation and artificial intelligence. In addition, students will be prepared for future management roles by developing essential skills related to leadership, teamwork, project administration and resource management—both onsite and in the virtual world.
Consistent with the demands of international and national accreditation requirements and targeting specific industry needs of the region, this undergraduate degree takes about four years to complete.

The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems and Mechatronics Engineering (BSISME) program at AUS is to provide students with the highest level of technical preparation, social responsibility, leadership and lifelong learning skills for successful careers in the intelligent systems and mechatronics industry.
