Visiting Faculty (2025) | Electrical Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering (ELE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for two faculty positions starting in 2025:
1. Visiting Faculty Position
Start Date: January 2025 (Spring)
Area: Electronics (preferred focus)

This visiting position primarily focuses on teaching and is a one-semester renewable contract. The applicant is required to have a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, preferably with a focus on electronics. The candidate should show evidence of excellence in teaching, with experience in the American model of higher education being highly desirable. The position is open until filled.
2. Visiting Faculty Position
Start Date: August 2025 (Fall)
Area: Open to all areas of Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering has approximately 205 undergraduate students, 43 graduate students, 15 full-time faculty, and 4 lab instructors. Faculty and students represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
