Dr. Brian McAllister

Brian J. McAllister's research and teaching include modern and contemporary literature, poetry studies, narratology, spatial theory, environmental literature and science fiction. He has published on the rhetoric of emergence in narrative, geological time in landscape poetry, visual poetry and narrative theory, disorienting narrative space, and science-fiction poetry. He was guest editor for a 2014 special issue of Narrative on poetry and narrative theory and is currently working on a study of spatiotemporal and rhetorical disorientation in the Anthropocene.
