Dr. Jamal A. Abdalla has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (structures) from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.S. in Civil Engineering (structures) from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He also has B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Khartoum. Dr. Jamal Abdalla did his postdoctoral studies at Stanford University. He worked with Bechtel Civil (PMB) in San Francisco, USA and taught at University of Khartoum and Qatar University before he joined the American University of Sharjah in 2000. He is a recipient of several awards of excellence. His research interests include Computing, earthquake engineering and materials. He has numerous publications that are well cited.
