Dr. Varkki Pallathucheril

Professor

Varkki Pallathucheril holds graduate degrees in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University (1998 and 1992) and an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (1981). He came to AUS after serving as a tenured faculty member at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning from 1992 to 2008. He has served as a Professor in the Department of Architecture at AUS since 2009 and as Dean since 2016. He returned to the University of Illinois as a Visiting Professor during the 2013-14 academic year while on sabbatical leave from AUS.
