Shaima Bin Taliah
Shaima Bin Taliah is a highly accomplished and versatile professional, currently serving as the Acting Vice Chancellor for Student Experience at American University of Sharjah (AUS). In this role, she leads the Office of Student Affairs, overseeing student engagement and leadership programs, residential halls, student conduct and conflict resolution, events, clubs and organizations, and athletics, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching student experience. Previously, Shaima was the Director of Entrepreneurs Development at the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, where she oversaw entrepreneurial initiatives and led a team dedicated to fostering innovative and sustainable SME growth.
Shaima began her career in the telecommunications sector, managing the franchise business model, and later joined the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, contributing to the launch of several key projects and strategies. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Sharjah, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University of Sharjah, and a Diploma in Multiculturalism and Leadership from Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Scotland. Additionally, she completed the Launching New Ventures executive education program at Harvard Business School.
With over 15 years of professional experience, Shaima is renowned for her leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. Her extensive background and dedication have made her a pivotal figure in both the academic and entrepreneurial landscapes.
