- Who needs to complete the medical record form?

The medical record form must be filled by all new registered students and all new employees of AUS.
- Where can I complete my medical record form?

New students/employees can complete their medical record forms at any clinic or hospital, or at the AUS clinic. The form must be signed and stamped by the doctor and include an attached recent passport-size photo.
- Do I need to book an appointment to visit UHS?

UHS operates on a walk-in basis but gives priority to urgent cases.
- Are students required to have medical insurance in the UAE?

It is mandatory for all undergraduate students to have a medical insurance coverage. For more information on the plans available and the fees, please see information on this website.
- Are graduate students (master’s or Phd) required to have medical insurance?

It is optional for a graduate student to enroll in a medical insurance plan. For more information on the plans available and the fees, please see information on this website.
- Why do I have an insurance hold in the banner? Will it affect my registration/graduation process?

The hold in Banner is for all students who are enrolled in the Al Buhaira National Insurance Student Health Plan and will be automatically removed once the student’s status on Banner has changed from ACTIVE to INACTIVE/GRADUATED. For Abu Dhabi and Dubai visa holders, a No Objection letter must be filled and submitted. The hold will not affect any AUS transactions, including registration/graduation procedures
- Can I visit any specialist of my choice if I hold Al Buhaira National Insurance?

A referral letter must be obtained from the AUS clinic prior to visiting any specialists under the insurance network.
- What are the clinic timings?

We are open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Clinic is closed on official AUS holidays. Emergency care is provided round-the-clock. The medical emergency team can be contacted by calling 06 515 2100 (press Option 1) or ext. 4911 or 050 635 7651.
- Whom should I contact if I have questions?

- How can I request for chronic medication refill (applicable only for employees and dependents)?

The preferred refill request method is via email to [email protected]
All refills emailed after 4:00 p.m. will be ready by the next working day.
You may also bring your refill information to the UHS counter. It will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The UHS dispenses a maximum of a 60-day supply, with the exception of travelers abroad as long as they have valid insurance coverage.
