In line with the UAE 40th Anniversary and the IIA Global 70th Anniversary, the Board of Governors of the UAE Internal Audit Association (UAE-IAA) initiated an "Internal Audit Festival", commencing on the 11th December going through until 22nd December 2011, covering all the Emirates. This festival is the first of its kind anywhere in the world, aiming at raising awareness of the Internal Audit as a profession by stressing on the key role of the Internal Auditors in both private and public sectors. The festival will start with the launching of the Arabic version of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
