The AUS Master of Arts in English/Arabic/English Translation and Interpreting (MATI) program organizes an annual symposium to function as a forum in which MATI students and faculty present their research to the AUS community and the academic community at large. This is the fourth year the symposium is being held. All presentations are in English. The event is funded by Middle Eastern Studies.
This year, the program hosts two international scholars:
- Dr. Luc van Doorslaer, University of Leuven, Belgium: "The Need for Knowledge Structuring in Translation Studies"
- Dr. Fayeq Oweis, Google Middle East and Africa: "Localization and Arabization at Google"
