AUS Chancellor meets NRF team
Dr. Peter Heath, Chancellor of American University of Sharjah (AUS), met with senior officials from the National Research Foundation (NRF) in his office today, March 18.
The NRF delegation comprised Dr. Husam Sultan Al-Ulama, Director; Dr. Ahmed Alosi, Research Program Manager; and Ingrid Liekens, Office Manager. Chancellor Heath briefed the delegates on the university's current and planned academic programs as well as its current and future research plans and projects.
Chancellor Heath also discussed with the visiting team the status of the grants NRF has awarded to a number of AUS faculty members for their research projects, as well as bilateral cooperation in the future.
Dr. Al-Ulama expressed satisfaction over the cooperation between AUS and NRF. He outlined the status of their current programs as well as the initiatives now under development. Both agreed that the AUS-NRF partnership remains strong.
Dr. Thomas Hochstettler, AUS Provost, and Dr. Gautam Sen, AUS Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies, also participated in the meeting.
