AUS holds Intramural Summer Sports Tournament 2017
The AUS Intramural Summer Sports Tournament 2017 was held June 5-7 during which 150 AUS students enjoyed three nights of sporting events. Competitions were conducted in men's football, volleyball, street basketball, table tennis, squash, chess and swimming. Volleyball and swimming competitions were held for female students.
Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students, congratulated the winners and thanked all the students who took part in the tournament. "Intramural tournaments provide a healthy pastime, help the students in removing their academic stress and prevent them from spending excessive time on electronic devices," she stated.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution were held June 7 at the Sports Complex. Dr. Mohamed Helal, Director of Student Athletics and Recreation, presented medals and trophies to the winners.
