AUS holds seventh High School Computing Camp
High school students got an opportunity to learn about engineering design and innovation through five days of fun activities and competitions at the seventh High School Computing Camp recently held at the American University of Sharjah (AUS).
The camp, which was ran from December 22—26, focused on areas of digital systems design, programming, web development, mobile application development, smart home development, robotics building and programming, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), and university required soft skills.
Students, between grades 10-12, engaged in a series of experiments and hands-on activities, related to various topics in computer science and engineering.
Highlighting the importance of this camp, Dr. Fadi Aloul, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at AUS said:
“The camp gives students the opportunity to utilize their time properly during their winter break, and learn about the exciting field of technologies and computers, and its significant impact on other fields in this world.”
All participants, who completed the camp, were awarded a Certificate of Participation.
