AUS hosts 14th Workshop on Corporate Governance and Investment
American University of Sharjah hosted the 14th Workshop on Corporate Governance and Investment recently at its campus. This was the first time the event had been held outside Europe. The workshop was organized by the Department of Accounting at the AUS School of Business and Management(SBM).
The workshop featured presenters from the AUS accounting and finance departments as well as experts from a number of European countries including Germany, Spain, Norway and UK. Students from SBM were among the participants.
The workshop discussed different topics in corporate governance and investment, which are of interest to stock market regulators, companies, investors and academics. The event is run every year by a group of specialized researchers who meet to discuss issues in corporate governance and investment.
Dr. Abed Al-Nasser Abdallah, Associate Professor in Accounting, who organized the workshop said, "It gives us great pleasure to welcome the delegates from around the world to our campus. And we are truly honored to host this quality event outside of Europe for the first time."
