AUS Intramural Sports Tournament sees huge turnout

Students took a break from their demanding academic schedules to participate in this year's exciting AUS Intramural Sports Tournament, held at the AUS sports facilities December 7-16.

Events were held for men's and women's basketball, chess, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, swimming, squash and fitness, while soccer and cricket matches were conducted for men.

Organized by the Student Athletics and Recreation Department (SARD) of the Office of the Student Affairs, the tournament attracted many participants, including freshmen who were eager to exhibit their athletic talents.

Dr. Mohamed Helal, the Director of Student Athletics Department, distributed the prizes to the winners and thanked all the students who participated despite their hectic academic schedules.

Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, expressed her gratitude and happiness at the great turnout and added that this year's success would not have been achieved without the remarkable support of all the students who took part.
