The AUS Leopards brought home a number of honors from the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) Sports Cup 2015 held November 21 at GEMS Modern Academy.
AUS won first place in men's volleyball, badminton, tennis, women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball. In tennis, the AUS men won first, second and third place, while the AUS women placed second and third. The men's soccer team also placed third.
Eighteen teams from various universities took part in this tournament, including the AUS men's and women's volleyball, basketball, badminton and tennis teams, and men's soccer and cricket teams.
Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students, congratulated all the winners and advised the team members to renew their goals in sports while maintaining a proper balance with their academic pursuits. Dr. Al Shehhi also thanked them for their hard work and dedication. "AUS is proud of you for this great achievement and all budding athletes will be motivated by your success," she said.
