AUS offers management excellence program for Ajman Transport Authority
A team of Ajman Transport employees recently completed a customized executive program on excellence in management offered by esteemed faculty members of American University of Sharjah (AUS).
Organized by the AUS School of Business Administration (SBA), the program featured eight live online sessions attended by 25 participants and focused on authentic leadership; introduction to data analytics; finance for non-financial managers; e-commerce, AI and digital transformation; project management for business excellence; evaluation of macro environment and its impact on transportation and the transport sector; valuation of the investment project and managing customer experience in dynamic environments.
The program followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AUS and Ajman Transport Authority to cooperate in areas of human capital performance development and the provision of customized programs that adopt best practices, knowledge dissemination, expertise exchange and field visits.
"This is the start of our collaboration with the Ajman Transport Authority, and we are pleased to see the positive feedback to our program in business excellence," said Dr. Narjess Boubakri, Dean of SBA.
Rasha Khalaf Hamad Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Ajman Transport Authority, said, "The authority is working on developing the skills of human resources through the best specialized training programs in the field and supporting employees’ advancement educationally and professionally.”
