AUS representatives attend World Education Expo Festival in Jakarta

Representatives from American University of Sharjah (AUS) participated in the World Education Expo Festival (WEFEST) 2017 Higher Education Exhibition held February 25-26, 2017 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The visit, which commenced on February 21, included meetings and presentations in selected private schools, as well as meetings with prospective students and their parents.

Representatives from the AUS Office of Enrollment Management were Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director for Enrollment Management, and Mohamed El Shahed, Director of Student Recruitment.

"With the rapid development of the Indonesian economy over the last 10 years, Indonesia has become one of the top ten immerging markets of international mobile students. Our visit provided an opportunity to explore and create a better understanding of international student trends," El Shahed said.

More than 100 nationalities are represented in the AUS student body.
