AUS team wins second place in Young ADIPEC Programme
A team of engineering students from American University of Sharjah (AUS) won second place at the Young ADIPEC Programme held by The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) recently. Fifteen international universities took part in the competition.
The AUS students, guided by Dr. Hussain Ahmed, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, competed to classify best solutions to help enhance the oil and gas industry in the current price volatility. The AUS team won second place based on its intellectual ideas, organized content and advanced presentation skills.
Organized by Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Young ADIPEC Programme was a two-day event of workshops and activities followed by a day of presentations. On the last day, winning teams had the chance to present in front of a panel of industrial leaders.
