CAAD Gallery hosts international artists

The Gallery at the American University of Sharjah College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) hosted international artists as part of the 20th International Symposium of Electronic Arts (ISEA2014), under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development. The event brought in over 80 international delegates to visit the campus and to see the exhibition and listen to the curator's talk.

ISEA is a showcase of creative productions applying new technologies in interactive and digital media and annually brings together leading and emerging new media thinkers and practitioners, artists, academics, scientists working at the intersection of art, science and technology.

According to Kevin Badni, Head of the Department of Art and Design, "Being educational partners of the ISEA conference has created a number of connections with other higher educational institutes across the UAE and the world. The exhibition itself brought in a wide variety of international scholars, artists and designers to see the exhibition, CAAD and the university as a whole. The CAAD student volunteers were excellent ambassadors for the university with great feedback received."
