Future engineers inspired by automotive industry expert

American University of Sharjah (AUS) welcomed Dr. Saeed Barbat, the Executive Technical Leader for Safety, Research and Advanced Engineering at Ford motor company, Detroit, USA, on Thursday, October 18. 

In his address to students from the College of Engineering at the university, he focused on his current role overseeing overall vehicle safety, including research and advanced safety developments, product developments and global road safety issues with a special focus on the UAE.     

With over 29 years of experience in the automotive and aircraft industries and academia, Dr. Barbat was well placed to lecture these budding engineers. He was introduced to the students by Dr. Hany El Kadi the Associate Dean Professor from the College of Engineering and over 35 undergraduate students attended the extra-curricular event.
