High school students learn about becoming innovators and entrepreneurs at CEN Open Day
From robotics, artificial intelligence and coding to material sciences, environmental engineering and satellite communications, prospective high school students and their parents learned about the many undergraduate opportunities offered by the American University of Sharjah (AUS) College of Engineering (CEN) at the CEN Open Day held recently on campus.
During the event, prospective students met with the CEN Dean and faculty members, learned about the college’s regionally acclaimed and internationally accredited undergraduate programs, heard CEN alumni success stories, toured the college’s world-class facilities and labs, and met with AUS admissions and scholarship advisors.
“It was great to meet with young students who will soon begin their university journey. CEN offers some of the most sought-after specializations that equip future generations with 21st century skills. CEN Open Day provided prospective students with a first-hand understanding of what the college offers to equip them to become the next generation of innovators, problem solvers, independent thinkers, global citizens, entrepreneurs and leaders. Our graduates have a high employability rate in the market working for international and national organizations and getting accepted for their graduate studies at some of the top international universities around the world,” said Dr. Fadi Aloul, Dean of CEN.
CEN’s programs offer the highest level of professional and technical preparation, global preparedness and leadership development. The college offers bachelor of science degrees in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.
