Professor Carl Dahm passes away
Professor Carl (Bob) Dahm, Associate Professor of Design and a member of the College of Architecture, Art and Design's Department of Design, passed away at his home in the United States surrounded by his family.
Professor Dahm first joined AUS in 1998. He left the University in 2001 to pursue other opportunities and then returned in 2007, which demonstrated Professor Dahm's extraordinary commitment to AUS and the high regard his colleagues had for him. In addition to his efforts as an educator and service in roles such as Interim Department Head, Professor Dahm was a talented illustrator whose work appeared in major international publications and earned numerous awards.
"Professor Dahm will be fondly remembered as a dedicated teacher who contributed to establishing the Department, the College and the University." said Kevin Mitchell, AUS Interim Provost, in an email to the University community.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mrs. Claudia Santana Sluss-Dahm, and their children.
The University community will hold a moment of silence to honor Professor Dahm at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the Main Building Rotunda.
