The Materials Research Center at American University of Sharjah is co-organizing a workshop with the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) focused on advanced materials for sustainability. This two-day workshop bring together distinguished researchers and officials from Sharjah, SIAT and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as representatives from China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Purpose and Expected Outcomes of the Workshop
- Knowledge Exchange: Serve as a platform to discuss cutting-edge advances in materials science and engineering aimed at promoting sustainable development, particularly focusing on innovative energy and environmental solutions.
- Networking Opportunities: Establish contacts between AUS and SIAT to foster academic collaboration in various research areas.
- Project Collaboration: Lay the groundwork for joint applications of international cooperation projects between SIAT and AUS.
- Belt and Road Initiative: Explore opportunities to establish joint laboratories funded by the Government of China as part of the Belt and Road Initiative.
