Selling Your Study Abroad Experience to Grad Schools and Future Employers (October 2012)
You have gone abroad (or are abroad, or will be going soon!)--but what did you learn from your experience? How can you use it to get a leg up in the job market and in grad school applications?
We invite (and encourage!) you to attend our seminar, Selling Your Study Abroad Experience to Grad Schools and Future Employers.
Linda McLoughlin will be talking to you about how to effectively communicate the skills and competencies you've gained abroad to employers and grad schools to convince them of the value of your experience. Employers want professionals with strong interpersonal skills, adaptivity, cross-cultural competence, self-reliance, and problem-solving abilities. You have these skills, and developed many more while studying abroad. What else did you learn? And how will that benefit the next company you work for?
