AUS recognized for its excellence in education at TDRA honoring ceremony
American University of Sharjah (AUS) was recently recognized for its excellence in education at a special ceremony organized by the Telecommunications Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) to honor its strategic partners.
TRDA has been an AUS partner since 2012 and has since sponsored more than 351 Emirati students pursuing their undergraduate and graduate studies in computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering.
Representing AUS at the event were staff from Sponsorship Liaison Services under the Office of Enrollment Management at AUS. Maintaining partnerships with more than 27 UAE government bodies, Sponsorship Liaison Services is the main link between external organizations and their sponsored AUS students. It provides various support services to the sponsoring organizations and sponsored students including coordinating admission and orientation, providing progress reports, offering guidance, coordinating financial-related matters with the AUS Finance Department, and arranging for meetings between sponsors and students.
“This recognition is a testimony to the significance of more than 10 years of partnership between TDRA and AUS. With the support of TDRA, we will continue our mission of providing our students with the best education and university experience to graduate innovators who are active contributors to the UAE National Agenda. As the number one choice for recruiters in the UAE, our graduates are employed by national and international organizations, accepted at some of the most prestigious universities around the world for their graduate studies, and appointed to high government positions in the UAE and the GCC region. We look forward to strengthening the collaboration between TDRA and AUS further as we graduate the leaders of tomorrow,” said Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director of Enrollment Management at AUS.
Higher education sponsorship is a life-changing opportunity for any student. AUS continues to build partnerships with new organizations and entities seeking to support AUS students in their academic journey through its Sponsorship Liaison Services.
