Dr. Omar Arif is a Visiting Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, American University of Sharjah, UAE, since August 2022. He previously held academic positions at NUST, Pakistan, including Tenured Associate Professor and Head of the Software Engineering Department. Dr. Arif's research experience spans roles at the Visual Computing Center, KAUST, and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech and a B.E. in Software Engineering from NUST. Dr. Arif specializes in artificial intelligence, computer vision, deep learning with numerous publications in prestigious journals
