Our Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program provides students with advanced knowledge and techniques to pursue professional careers in public and private accounting. MSA students develop skills necessary to solve accounting problems that are of contemporary relevance in the fields of accounting, finance, and other business areas. The program is designed to create additional employment opportunities and promote the career success of our graduates. Career options for graduates will include positions in public accounting, such as external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants, as well as in private accounting roles such as internal auditors, controllers, chief financial officers and financial analysts. The Master of Science in Economics and Policy (MSEP) integrates mutually supportive strands of knowledge and skills in economic theory, policy evaluation and data analysis. Distinctly applied and regionally recognized, the MSEP nurtures competitive competencies critical for a diversified knowledge economy. Graduates apply analytical and critical thinking skills to understand global trends and develop data-informed decisions and policies that address domestic challenges. MSEP graduates pursue advanced careers in consulting, government, NGOs, and the private sector, and have solid academic preparation should they wish to continue doctoral studies in economics or related fields. The new Master of Science in Finance (MSF) will help the UAE continue to grow as a global business hub, providing talented and highly-educated finance professionals for an expanding market. The program is specifically designed for those wishing to advance their career across a number of finance-related fields or prepare for a PhD in Finance. The program broadens participants’ finance-specific knowledge in areas such insurance, securities law, banking and insurance, financial markets, investment banking, corporations, financial advising public institutions, and much more. Importantly, a significant component of the CFA Level II and Level III body of knowledge is incorporated into the program, preparing students for the CFA designation (Chartered Finance Analyst) exams.

The PhD in Business Administration (PhD-BA) provides students with an advanced business education, focusing on areas of importance to the development of the UAE as the country works towards its Economic Vision 2030. The program has been designed for business professionals looking to advance to the highest levels of the corporate world, as well as those looking to become distinguished faculty members. Students of the program will be at the forefront of creating and disseminating information and able to create strategies, propose structures and develop operations for corporate organizations and government agencies. AUS has partnered with the prestigious Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina (UofSC) to deliver the PhD-BA, allowing students to travel to the United States for part of their studies. Under this partnership, a student could earn two doctoral degrees—one from AUS and one from UofSC.
