Our academy participants are well-prepared for industry-standard certifications.
Our Cisco Regional Networking Academy was started in 2000 in partnership with Cisco Systems. We are classified as a regional academy and are responsible for establishing local academies with other institutions in the UAE and across the region. Our program follows an e-learning model that delivers web-based educational content, online testing, student performance tracking, and instructor training and support. It is a globally-recognized program with more than 10,000 participating academies in about 160 countries.
At AUS, our program is a comprehensive two-semester course that teaches students to design, build and maintain computer networks, with focus on hands-on learning and lab activities. Students are also prepared for industry-standard certifications, including Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA-Security) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP™). The program combines lectures and online learning with hands-on laboratory exercises in which students apply what they learn in class while working on actual networks.
The AUS Regional Networking Academy awards a Certificate of Completion to students who successfully complete the two semesters. This not only certifies that the recipient passed the required theoretical exams but also confirms that the student has mastered practical networking skills.
The Cisco Networking Academy® CCNAv7.02 curriculum is designed for participants who are seeking entry-level jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfill prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills. The CCNAv7.02 curriculum is presented in three courses:
These three courses provide integrated and comprehensive coverage of networking topics including: IP routing and switching fundamentals, network security and services, and network programmability and automation, while providing learners extensive opportunities for hands-on practical experience and career skills development.
The entire curriculum is appropriate for learners at many education levels and types of institutions, including high schools, secondary schools, universities, colleges, career and technical schools, and community centers.
In this curriculum, Cisco Networking Academy™ participants learn, apply, and practice CCNP Enterprise knowledge and skills through a series of in-depth hands-on experiences that reinforce their learning. The CCNP Enterprise v8 curriculum is presented in two courses that provide integrated and comprehensive coverage of professional-level networking technologies. Upon completion of each course, learners will be prepared to take the certification exam associated with that course. The two course are as follows:
CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Routing (CCNP ENARSI v8) - aligns to the Cisco Press CCNP Enterprise Advanced Routing ENARSI 300-410 Official Cert Guide and the Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (ENARSI 300-410) certification exam. ENARSI includes implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing technologies and services including Layer 3, VPN services, infrastructure security, infrastructure services, and infrastructure automation.
These two courses and the corresponding certification exams align to the overall CCNP Enterprise certification. Both of these courses provide learners extensive opportunities for hands-on practical experience and career skills development
The DevNet Associate course introduces the methodologies and tools of modern software development, applied to the IT and Network operations. It covers a 360 view of the domain including microservices, testing, containers and DevOps, as well as securely automating infrastructures with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Students completing this course, gain practical, relevant, hands-on lab experience, including programming in Python, using GIT and common data formats (JSON, XML and YAML), deploying applications as containers, using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automating infrastructure using code. The course prepares students for entry-level software development and infrastructure automation jobs and prepares them for the DevNet Associate certification exam.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
The CyberOps Associate v1.0 curriculum provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed for a Security Analyst working with a Security Operations Center team. It teaches core security skills needed for monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security events, thus protecting systems and organizations from cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. It includes an optional skills challenge to practice cybersecurity operations knowledge in a fun and engaging environment.
The curriculum is appropriate for students at many education levels and types of institutions, including secondary vocational students, 2-year and 4-year college students By the end of the course, students will be prepared to:
The IT Essentials (ITE) course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer hardware and software, mobile devices, security and networking concepts, and the responsibilities of an IT professional. The latest release includes mobile devices, Linux, and client side virtualization, as well as expanded information about Microsoft Windows operating systems, security, networking, and troubleshooting.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
