Former Egyptian Foreign Minister visits AUS

American University of Sharjah (AUS) welcomed former Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmad Abu Al Ghait, on campus today, November 6, 2014. He was accompanied by Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information.

During his visit to AUS, Al Ghait was received by the Chancellor, Dr. Björn Kjerfve, and Vice Chancellor of Public Affairs, Salem Al Qaseer to discuss ideas of mutual benefit.

Al Ghait is in Sharjah for the opening of the Sharjah International Book Fair. He expressed his gratitude toward Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE, Ruler of Sharjah and President of AUS and said, "The Sharjah Ruler has made culture a driving force towards a more comprehensive renaissance."
