International authors visit AUS during Sharjah Book Fair

American University of Sharjah (AUS) recently hosted several prominent writers at its campus during its Visiting Authors Week. The authors were in the emirate for the Sharjah International Book Fair held November 4-14, 2015.

The authors spoke about their work and careers and participated in question and answer sessions with students, faculty and other members of the AUS community.

The writers who visited the AUS campus included Sefi Atta, Ben Okri, Fatima Bhutto, Joan Bauer, Elizabeth Buchan, Sorayya Khan, Arun Budhathoki, Susan Abulhawa, Lucy Beresford, Darren Shan, Mahesh Rao, and Elaine Proctor, as well as illustrator Kerby Rosanes.

The lectures were organized by the AUS Department of English in collaboration with the Sharjah International Book Fair.
