At AUS, we are committed to caring for our environment. As part of this, we have partnered with Bee’ah, the local waste management company, to have a recycling program on campus.
All of AUS is encouraged to recycle. Find out how you can be a part of this important program.
The AUS campus has numerous recycling options.
Please dispose of items according to the particular bin labels. If a bin is not labeled, it is for general waste.
The following items can be recycled and should be placed in the respective recycling bins around campus:
Recycling Tips: Recycled items should be empty of organic waste; otherwise, they cannot be recycled.
There are many different types of plastics. You can currently recycle #1 and #2 plastics on campus. You can find the plastic number with the triangular arrows on the bottom of most plastic bottles and containers. Plastic items that are not #1 or #2 cannot currently be recycled. If you cannot find a number, then place the item in the general waste.
The following items cannot be recycled and should be placed in the general waste bins around campus:
Recycling Tip: If you are unsure about whether an item belongs in the recycling or the general waste bin, it is best to place it in the general waste bin.
In an effort to continuously reduce the amount of waste going to the landfills, we have partnered with Bee’ah to offer additional recycling options on campus.
